NATIONALS The scoring systems and processes used at Nationals are the cumulative result of many years of continuous revisions and improvements of our scoresheets, methods and processes. This improvement process is a collaborative effort, pulling from the decades of combined experience among the CHEERSPORT staff along with frequent input from the most respected judges, coaches and industry experts. Combine our scoring system with judging panels of the best judges from around the country and we believe that CHEERSPORT offers the most accurate, informative and fair system in the industry. How We Score:
At CHEERSPORT Nationals, teams compete both days with the combined score from both days determining the final team
rankings. To ensure fairness, teams compete in reverse order within their division on the second day and have the
same panel of judges for both performances.
Point Deduction:
At CHEERSPORT Nationals, just "attempting" the skill isn't enough - you have to hit it. That's the driving
force behind the CHEERSPORT point deduction system. The point deduction system is CHEERSPORT's method of assigning
definite penalties for tumbling and stunting omissions, bobbles, and falls that occur during a routine.
