Below are 3 examples of how the scoring system might work for a team on a single day of competition, highlighting
how the Point Deduction Judges and LevelPlay/Safety Judges can affect the final score.
SCENARIO ONE: NO FALLS/BOBBLES, NO LEVELPLAY/SAFETY VIOLATIONS
Let’s say the Head Judge gave them an overall score of 140, the Panel Judges gave them overall scores of 138
and 142, and the Point Deduction judges gave them overall scores of 135 and 139.
The Point Deduction Judges didn't give any falls or bobbles and the LevelPlay/Safety Judges didn't give any violations.

Let’s say the Head Judge gave them an overall score of 134, the Panel Judges gave them overall scores of

The Point Deduction Judges saw two (2) Individual Falls and one (1) Group Bobble in the routine and assessed
3 Mistake Deduction Points. Note that in addition to removing 3 points from the overall routine score this
also means that the points that the judges can award in the “Perfection of Routine” category has been reduced
by 3 points... in effect making the best possible routine score for this team a 147.
The LevelPlay/Safety Judges didn't give any violations.
